Masters Swim Coach - Multiple YMCA Locations

Under the direction of the Director of Competitive & Developmental Swimming, the Head Swim Coach will assist with all aspects of planning and preparation for the Tampa YMCA Swim Team program at their assigned sites.

The Head Swim Coach will be responsible for the development and recruitment of swimmers participating with the Tampa YMCA Swim Team programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Development, planning and implementation of workouts and trainings for all assigned sites.

Supervise or lead practices and/or dry land trainings, provide guidance to Swim Coaches and Assistant Swim Coaches.

Evaluate swimmer ability/performance and plan strategies for their improvement.

Coordinate and execute meet registrations.

Attend specified competitions, training and/or special events as directed by Director of Competitive & Developmental Swimming Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies for athletes in the programs for all assigned sites.

Follow all safety recommendations and guidelines per Tampa YMCA policies and USA Swimming.

Communicate program information effectively and in a timely manner to supervisors, participants and their families.

Establishes and maintains a team attitude, and encourages good sportsmanship for athletes and parents.

Attend all required staff meetings.

Other duties as assigned.
