Student Worker - IT
Description General Job Brief: Under direct supervision of the Senior Director of IT, the Student Worker - Information Technology, will provide technology support to students and staff.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person to person mentorship and discipleship.
Typical Duties: Troubleshoot and provide technology support to students, faculty, and staff across the campus.Help ensure classroom technology such as the computer, projector and audio are ready for classes and events.No prior IT experience is required.
While previous customer service or technical experience is a plus, we will provide on-the-job training.
You will be taught how to perform hardware repairs and introduced to enterprise IT systems, making this a great opportunity to build your resume if you are interested in working in IT.Troubleshoot and assist users in connecting their personal devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones) to the campus Wi-Fi network.Verify user identities and perform secure password resets for student university accounts.Assist students, faculty, and staff with account management inquiries, including new account setups, login issues, and general troubleshooting.

Time Required: Up to 10 hours a week maximum Fair Labor Standards Act: This position is considered to be part-time, non-exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
