Outreach Assistant I - NAP
Starting Hourly Rate: $18.22
Work Schedule: Because of the nature of working with volunteers, weekend and evening hours will be required.
This position is a 10-month, seasonal/temporary position and the expected number of hours worked per week is approximately 40.
Assist Natural Area Preservation (NAP) Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator with all aspects of coordinating volunteer stewardship workdays.
Other tasks will vary but may include recruit, train, and direct volunteers; write newsletter articles and other informational promotional and recruitment materials; attend various fairs and exhibits for recruiting and educational purposes; keep detailed, accurate records of all work performed; assist with controlled burns and other field work; and perform various other duties necessary for the functioning of NAP.
Field work includes leading nature walks and volunteer workdays, distributing flyers to businesses and posting in the parks, and taking part in prescribed burns.
Work involves walking off trail and on uneven terrain, using hand tools, loading equipment into and out of the truck and carrying a backpack.
Required Qualifications:
* Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
The City offers CPR/AED and First Aid classes, which are free to Parks
employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

-The Position Proposition:
* Apply concepts, techniques, and implementation of traffic control plans and techniques for installation and removal.
* Read and interpret plans and specifications and implement them in the field.
* Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed.
* Work together as a team and to present solutions.
* Design and implement temporary traffic control plans in the field to make the project as safe as possible for their fellow workers, motorists and pedestrians going through the site.
* Oversee flaggers to ensure DOT requirements are met.

Position Title: Warehouse Associate / Driver / CDL
Position Summary:
Fulfill all aspects of warehouse
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Accurately receive product
• Ensure product is available for fulfillment of orders
• Check RF for wave/orders that have been assigned to individual
• Fill orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Verify product pulled against pick ticket
• Carefully package product for shipment
• Ensure product is destined for correct location
• Stock shelves daily
• Maintain aisles and product organized and clean
• Operate truck according to federal, state, and local laws, as well as company safety procedures

Job Summary:
This position provides for the maintenance of all public landscape beds throughout the community that includes the design, installation and maintenance of annual floral beds.
The work is accomplished by trash pickup, leaf cleanup, mulching, planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing and pruning or rejuvenating shrubs, grasses or trees.
