Key Responsibilities



* Meal Preparation: Assist the cook in preparing meals, snacks, and beverages according to prescribed dietary plans.


* Tray Assembly: Set up dining rooms and assemble resident meal trays with accuracy regarding portion sizes and restrictions.


* Service: Serve meals to residents politely, ensuring a pleasant and respectful dining experience.


* Sanitation: Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.

Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and dining areas.


* Inventory & Storage: Assist in unpacking, labeling, and storing food supplies safely.


* Compliance: Adhere strictly to state health department regulations and facility safety policies.

Qualifications



* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Experience: Previous food service experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.


* Certifications: Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain one upon hire).


* Skills: Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.


* Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds.


* Attributes: Strong teamwork mindset, reliability, and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.
