Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Full-Time

Pleasant Hill Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive pay range of $47-$50 per hour (DOE) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time
Pay: $47-$50 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists the supervising Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care.

The PTA works closely with residents, families, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality rehabilitation services that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.


* Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility policies, governmental regulations, and third-party payer requirements.


* Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.


* Participate in Resident Care Conferences and Rehabilitation Department meetings as needed.


* Assist the nursing department with training and support of Restorative Aides.


* Communicate regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure timely updates regarding resident progress, goals, physician communication, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination.


* Provide in-service training and educational programs for facility staff as needed.


* Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, safety techniques, maintenance programs, and fall prevention strategies.


* Recommend and assist with obtaining durable medical equipment to promote resident independence and safety, including walkers, canes, splints, elevated toilet seats, grab bars, and other adaptive equipment.


* Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information at all times.


* Report equipment issues promptly to ensure all rehabilitation equipment remains in safe working condition.


* Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and rehabilitation program development.


* Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, staff members, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

Education & Experience


* Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program required.


* Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of California required.


* Experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
