Position Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic care that improves residents' mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities


* Provide direct patient care as directed by the Physical Therapist


* Carry out treatment plans prescribed by the physician and therapist


* Document daily treatments and weekly progress notes


* Assist with rehab and patient care conferences


* Monitor and report patient progress and changes


* Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy programs and post-discharge care


* Assist with training of Restorative Aides


* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment


* Report equipment concerns and ensure proper maintenance

Qualifications


* Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program


* Active, unencumbered PTA license in South Carolina (required)


* Must maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board


* Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred


* Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred


* Strong communication and teamwork skills


* Compassion for an underserved population
