* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Drafting or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or closely related discipline.


* No prior experience required but internship preferred.


* 1--5 years of experience performing drafting, design and related duties in an industrial product manufacturing environment is preferred.


* Ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications, work instructions, engineering drawings and reports.


* Ability to write concise correspondence.


* Ability to speak effectively to operators, supervisors and managers in a variety of departments, on an individual basis and with groups which may include customer representatives.


* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to use fractions, percentages, scaling and tolerancing on a regular basis.


* Ability to understand and to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to rationally deal with problems involving several variables.


* Proficient in the use of computerized engineering and manufacturing software such as One Space, Solid Works, Lotus Notes, Baan and Oracle.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


* Must be able to frequently use measurement tools i.e.

micrometers, calipers, comparators, which requires precise visual acuity.


* Must possess good interpersonal skills to work effectively and positively with management, peers and customers.
