Material Handler II (Ship/Rec) Lead (1st shift)
The Material Handler Lead position is expected to lead and train a team to follow detailed instructions, complete repetitive tasks, and work independently of others.
The Lead is responsible for ensuring raw materials are properly received, stored, and shipped, monitoring and documenting processes through handwritten and electronic means, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
The Material Handling Lead position follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and works in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
* Minimum High school Diploma or Equivalency
* 2 years relevant experience preferred

* Previous material handling experience required
* Must be able to read, write, and demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
* Possess intermediate math skills

Essential Job Functions (Must be able to perform the essential functions listed below with or without accommodations):
Directs a team in the following functions:
* Ships and receives raw materials and finished product
* Puts away raw materials in coolers and freezers
* Records temperatures of coolers, freezers, and raw materials being tempered
* Assists prep room with raw material needs
* Assists inventory control with inventory count and disposals
* Cleans and organizes coolers, freezers, and dock area
* Sweeps and washes out dirty trailers
* Prints allergen tags
* Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly
* Training responsibilities to new hires.
* Procures inventory counts.
* Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner, utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc..
