Activities Assistant

Job Title: Activities Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Hayward Gardens Post Acute
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time (flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed)

Job Summary:
Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to support the planning and implementation of engaging programs for our residents.

This role works closely with the Activities Director to help create meaningful experiences that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:


* Assist in planning and facilitating daily activities and group programs


* Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement as needed


* Help set up and clean up activity areas and events


* Support special events, holiday celebrations, and outings


* Maintain activity supplies and organization of materials


* Document resident participation in accordance with facility guidelines


* Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff


* Transport residents to and from activities as needed

Qualifications:


* Previous experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare settings preferred


* Friendly, patient, and engaging personality


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills


* Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to resident needs


* Basic organizational skills and attention to detail


* High school diploma or equivalent required
