The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is looking for an enthusiastic Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance team.

As an Information Security Analyst, you will support other senior analyst while learning the foundations of governance, risk and compliance.

You should bring your theoretical and technical knowledge, understanding of cybersecurity tools, ability to identify and analyze potential threats and their impact and offer initial necessary response measures that will be vetted by a seasoned Information Security Analyst.

In addition to bringing the skills listed, you should have a willingness to problem solve and be open to continuous learning, be willing to perform research and analyze where necessary on relevant security topics and prepare written or verbal reports to management.

This position requires a regular on-site presence.

Under close supervision, follows standard practices and procedures to work on problems of limited scope/ complexity related to one of the three following cybersecurity disciplines.

Governance, Risk & Compliance:


* Support research and analysis efforts on relevant security topics.


* Gather, analyze, and capture input from customers, partners or stakeholders and synthesize into clear and actionable requirements (user stories) for prioritization and execution


* Support refinement of the team’s backlog, as needed, ensuring clear requirements alignment in support the team’s mission or objective


* Partner with business and technology teams to execute information security and compliance responsibilities as defined via SAFR (Security Assurance for the Federal Reserve), the Federal Reserve System's NIST-based information security program.


* Facilitate effective categorization of information and information systems to ensure impact levels for the security objectives of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability are aligned appropriately.


* Facilitate and support development and implementation of system security plans including selection of controls and development of related artifacts, control procedures or related specification documents.


* Facilitate assessment activities to validate security controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing the desired outcomes.


* Facilitate risk management and exception request processes.


* Facilitate and/or provide support for security governance activities.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Information:

The full annual salary range for the Associate Analyst level is:

$58,000- $72,523 - $87,000
