Flint Hills Resources Corpus Christi Refinery is hiring for an HVAC Technician! Your experience working on heavy industrial HVAC systems will further drive innovation and success in this critical role.

Our Team

Our facilities and business support group works with safety in mind as the top priority to ensure our facilities are running smoothly to support refinery production.

We are building team of highly skilled tradespeople to strengthen equipment reliability and performance.

We maintain over 1,700 pieces of A/C equipment including chill water units, industrial air scrubbing systems, large direct expansion systems, refrigeration systems and ventilation systems.

What You Will Do



* Maintain and enhance HVAC equipment performance and reliability to the highest industry standards


* Develop a strong understanding and working knowledge of support platforms i.e., Infor EAM, i-Vue controls, Metasys controls


* Support On-call schedule and respond to all operational request in a timely manner (1-hour or less)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* 5+ years refinery HVAC experience


* National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) - 70E certification


* Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:



* Ability to participate on the after-hours, on-call, orrotation schedule


* Ability to climb heights exceeding 150 feet


* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs


* Ability to apply a pushing and pulling force in excess of 50 lbs


* Ability to work in high, precarious places Ability to work in confined spaces


* Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions

What Will Put You Ahead



* 5+ years chilled water systems experience


* Experience with designing and installing metal duct work


* Industrial HVAC experience


* Digital HVAC controls knowledge and experience (Carrier i-Vu and Johnson Controls Metasys systems)


* NFPA 496 (Purging and Pressurizing Electrical Equipment Enclosures to Prevent Ignition of Flammable Atmosphere) knowledge and experience


* Honeywell and Scott gas analyzer knowledge and experience

This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for un-escorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
