The Robotics & Controls Intern will join the wider Robotics & Controls team.

We are a group of highly motivated roboticists working on development of algorithms and productions level software that live at the heart of a complex robotic surgical system for medical applications.

We work in a variety of exciting robotic functions including but not limited to kinematic and dynamic analysis, motion generation, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), control algorithms, system response characterization, performance and detailed software development.

This position start date is on Summer 2026 and will end by December 2026.

Core Job Responsibilities:



* Develop, implement, and test AI/ML models, and control algorithms for sophisticated robotic systems.


* Actively participate in algorithmic, control discussion, and code reviews


* Develop C++ software for safety critical applications

Required Knowledge and Skills



* General understanding of robot forward and inverse kinematics and dynamics, motion trajectories and path planning.


* General understanding of artificial intelligence techniques including machine learning models, especially transformer, both training and inference.


* Knowledge of robotics manipulation and computer vision.


* Excellent communication and documentation


* Able to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., F1, H1-B status)
