Molding Tech II

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Setup, maintain injection molding presses, molding processes and equipment/material system support.

Thoroughly tear down clean individual injection molds and reassemble.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Molding Technician ll may be assigned to the Mold Setup, Mold Tool Shop or Maintenance groups.


* Must be able to fill out documentation accurately and legibly.


* Follow written instructions


* Performs functions that require full knowledge of general aspects of the job.


* Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.


* May escalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.


* Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.


* Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.


* Ability to operate and understand the function of all equipment in the Molding Department.


* Ability to organize and direct progress on numerous assigned projects simultaneously.


* Identifies and corrects any condition that would compromise the safety of any employee.

All work will be performed in a clean, safe environment according to Fresenius policy.


* Interface with department personnel to optimize product quality and production efficiency.


* Must interface and work conjointly with the Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Technician with routine maintenance tasks as required and assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs.


* Interface with the applicable personnel on mold issues and repair needs.


* Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues and/or in making recommendations.


* Support and assist the Supervisor in start-up of new fabricated tooling, processes and equipment as well as testing and validation requirements.


* Collaborate with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations.  Contacts involve the obtaining or providing of information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of a sensitive nature.


* May provide assistance to junior level staff with more complex support tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor.


* Maintain general housekeeping of working area and plant.


* Follow all Fresenius Policies.


* Regular attendance and maintaining a good attendance record is an essential function of the job.


* Other duties as assigned.
