Garden City Healthcare Center, a skilled nursing facility in Modesto, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our Environmental Services team.

The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Full-Time | PM Shift
Starting Pay:

Competitive, based on experience
Responsibilities:


* Make available a sufficient quantity of clean linen to ensure proper care and comfort of all residents.


* Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes or stains.


* Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.


* Label new residents' clothing items as needed.


* Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.


* Deliver clean laundry and personal items to resident rooms.


* Follow all sanitary processes and infection control procedures related to laundry duties.


* Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report any shortages.


* Use all laundry equipment and cleaning supplies safely and correctly.


* Report any equipment issues or needed repairs to the Administrator.

Qualifications:


* High school diploma or GED required.


* 1 year of experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred.


* Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.


* Basic math and problem-solving skills.


* Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and operate industrial washers, dryers, and cleaning equipment safely.
