Systems Engineer

Job Description

Title: Systems Engineer

Duties: This Systems Engineer will join the Data Sync team to develop applications in a state-of-the-art ecosystem in bidirectional data movement between centralized and distributed servers in real-time.

You will use technology including GCP Pub/Sub, Storage Buckets, CDN, and VMWare Tanzu Application Service (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) to develop, maintain, and support AutoZone's Data Sync system.

This Systems Engineer will collaborate with Development teams to create new and continuously improve products, including planning, testing, staging and deployment.

You will develop new features, scaling, automation and self-healing processes for sites and systems including monitoring, issue identification, alerts, and automated corrective actions for restoring functionality to allow systems to detect and recover from failures without manual intervention.

You will also implement effective 360-degree monitoring to ensure quick alert to any problems.

Other responsibilities include code/configuration changes to improve performance and reliability and working with architect and application engineers to lead process improvements.

Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science, or related and 5 years of full-stack development experience, including:


* C, Java, and Javascript to build Cloud Native apps and services


* Publish subscribe systems including Spring Boot, Rest API's, and React js


* Relational Databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL and writing SQL queries


* Shell scripting and Unix/Linux


* Build automation and continuous integration/delivery ecosystem: GitLab, Maven, Jenkins


* Agile processes and the Scrum framework

Employer will accept a master's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
