We're looking for a Senior Buyer to join our Rock Hill, SC team on-site full-time and help strengthen our global supply chain, develop world-class supplier relationships, and ensure the timely delivery of materials that keep our customers running strong.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Buyer, you'll play a key role in managing strategic supplier relationships, sourcing materials, and supporting Cornell's production goals through effective procurement practices.

Your responsibilities will include:


* Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers across assigned commodities.


* Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and quality expectations to achieve the lowest total cost.


* Develop new suppliers and product sources to support innovation and cost improvement.


* Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations, including on-time delivery, quality, and cost competitiveness.


* Lead quarterly business reviews with suppliers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


* Manage procurement activities through the MRP system to ensure material availability for ongoing production.


* Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve supplier issues (e.g., late deliveries, nonconforming materials, cost changes).


* Pursue cost reduction and profit improvement opportunities across the supply base.


* Maintain accurate supplier performance records and provide reports to management.


* Support inventory control efforts by managing inventory levels and addressing excess or inactive stock.


* Generate and process ECNs and NCRs as needed in accordance with ISO procedures.
