MEP Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated MEP Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project located in the Capital Region of Finland.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering a unique opportunity to work on a technically demanding and high-profile development with a reputable international team.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing subcontract packages, delivering cost reporting, and ensuring commercial success throughout the lifecycle of the project.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the project is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:


* Oversee subcontractor procurement, including tender package development, analysis of returns, negotiations, and issuing subcontract orders.


* Manage subcontract packages from award to final account, including remeasurement, interim payments, and variation/claims handling.


* Prepare and submit detailed monthly cost reports, including forecasting and cost-to-complete in collaboration with site teams.


* Attend and contribute to client, subcontractor, and internal team meetings, ensuring strong communication and timely closeout of accounts.


* Prepare and submit valuations and cost submissions to client representatives, ensuring accurate certification and internal invoicing processes.


* Track and manage cost changes, prepare monthly valuations, and manage final accounts.


* Support effective budget management and project financial performance tracking.


* Handle claims and ensure all contractual notices are submitted accurately and on time.


* Work from drawings to measure work packages and apply appropriate rates for pricing.


* Assist with monthly reporting, internal presentations, and commercial governance tasks.


* Actively resolve disputes with clients and subcontractors in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications & Experience:


* Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.


* Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, large-scale construction environment.


* Proven experience in one or more of the following sectors: data centres, nuclear facilities, substations, or other major infrastructure projects.


* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with diverse project stakeholders.


* Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical abilities.


* Results-driven and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.


* Experience working with common cost estimating tools (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) is considered a plus.
