Software Engineering Senior Advisors- Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Adivsor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna -Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsiblities-

•Build scalable and robust software applications that contribute to full stack development to continue building out web portals;
•Be the technical lead for the design, development, and modification of distributed systems;
•Implement solutions and architecture to ensure software applications are extensible, simple, optimal and scalable;
•Identify and implement process enhancement opportunities associated with supporting the application area, a key aspect of this being "tech debt" removal when possible;
•Create detailed specifications or designs, conduct quality assurance reviews of peer's application programming and act as a mentor to others in these programs;
•Contribute to design and development of multiple Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that successfully fulfill business needs and provide value to enterprise;
•Implement continuous improvement efforts to ensure quality and enhance business value;
•Provide technical guidance to projects/programs for complex components of a multiple technology suites;
•Work with a cross-functional team of full stack engineers responsible for software de-sign, development, and quality testing;
•Support efforts to develop standard practices, components, guidelines for use of complex technology components;
•Resolve urgent and high priority production incidents; and
•Lead actions to determine root cause of problems and drive resolution.

Qualifications-

•Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computers or engineering
•Four years of experience in a related occupation
•Experience integrating and delivering multiple applications following software development lifecycle;
•Experience with involvement in project planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of various code modules;
•Experience with Sprint planning, daily monitoring, and coordinating across teams to ensure project timelines are met;
•Experience identifying bottlenecks, and designing architectural solutions;
•Experience creating reusable, multipurpose assets for use across multiple applications;
•Experience with Programming Languages: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Servlets, and Struts; and
•Experience using: JSP, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS, React JS, Redux, Ajax, CSS, NodeJS, Oracle, DB2, My SQL, Teradata, MongoDB, Postgres, PCF, AWS, and Open Shift.
