Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Enersense Engineering is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support one of our key clients on a major infrastructure project located in the Capital Region of Finland.

This role involves the supervision and execution of commissioning activities, coordination with vendors, and ensuring the highest standards of compliance, safety, and documentation throughout the commissioning process.

We are hiring on a permanent basis, and the position is set to start as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing team on a technically demanding project for a reputable international client.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and managing the overall project schedule in close cooperation with the client's project and site teams.

You'll play a critical part in ensuring timely delivery, resource alignment, and effective coordination across all phases of the project.

Responsibilities:


* Supervise commissioning activities for all electrical vendors in line with project requirements.


* Ensure compliance with scope of works and delivery milestones.


* Monitor commissioning schedule progress and communicate critical programme deadlines.


* Participate in and report on FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and FWTs (Functional Witness Tests).


* Coordinate and contribute to internal and vendor commissioning meetings (daily/weekly).


* Generate and maintain accurate weekly vendor commissioning progress reports.


* Collaborate with QA/QC and AP departments to meet shared project objectives.


* Review and track commissioning documentation, including test scripts and compliance statements.


* Witness and verify all vendor commissioning activities as per approved documentation.


* Lead the commissioning tagging process and manage daily site commissioning tasks.

Requirements:


* Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a recognized Electrical Trade certification (e.g., NVQ).


* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a commissioning role within data centres, industrial, pharma, or commercial sectors.


* Proven experience working with LV/MV/HV systems and electrical testing & verification.


* Strong understanding of construction safety practices.


* Analytical problem-solver with a process-driven mindset.


* Familiarity with EHS and Quality Work Management Systems.
