Commercial Sales Specialist

This role is responsible for actively identifying and engaging new business customer prospects.

Job Type: Full-time

Rate: $47,000-$55,000 annually with commissions

Location: Office in Burlington, VT

Responsibilities include:


* Negotiate pricing, products, and promotions with prospective clients and close as many sales opportunities as possible


* Identify new business opportunities via prospecting, cold calling, networking, social media, and using marketing analysis tools to market and sell Broadband Business products and services


* Retain current customer base and expand footprint through cross/upsell opportunities


* Meet and exceed sales goals and overall objectives


* Develop and maintain sales plans, forecast data and customer database


* Collaborate with other team members to determine solutions to best meet customers’ needs


* Identify key decision makers; develops and conducts effective presentations


* Be proactive in all aspects of opportunity development, lead to close


* Build and expand relationships with the decision makers in prospect and customer accounts


* Establish yourself as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ to the prospect or customer


* Partner with other internal/external resources for pre-sales engagement to align engineering, design and installation


* Direct sales of all services to commercial customers


* Negotiate contracts


* Manage and organize contracts in system


* Works with Marketing Manager and Director of Business Development on strategies and ad campaign development


* Remain abreast of current and new products, programming, and services as well as information on competitors


* Plan, prepare, and represent the company at various community events and shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements


* Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accommodating new and different requests, dedication to growth and continuous improvement


* Effectively manage new leads both in and outside of normal business hours


* Attending after hour networking events as needed

You will need:


* 2 or more years of related technology or telecommunications sales experience preferred


* Experience with field sales, pipeline development, new lead generation and prospecting


* 1 year of successful business-to-business outside sales experience with quotas and cold calling


* Able to use Microsoft products effectively
