Your Job

The Collaboration and Support Center (CSC), located in West Midtown Atlanta, GA, was developed to provide greater remote support to Georgia-Pacific (GP) manufacturing operations.

The CSC team partners with operating facilities by providing collaboration and support across multi-disciplines of expertise (GP and Vendors) to achieve scalable problem solving across manufacturing sites and businesses.

The team uses the best available technology with an enterprise-wide approach and primarily focuses in the areas of Asset Health, Process Safety, and Process Optimization.

We are currently seeking qualified professionals to fill the role of Digital Mezzanine - Developer: An individual with experience in: Python, Web Development, and Data Analytics.

A successful individual in this role must be willing to take personal initiative to understand opportunities and deliver solutions that are timely and effective.

Candidates will need to be able to work both individually and as a part of a team to divide tasks and solve challenging problems.

What You Will Do

A hybrid work schedule of normally 2 days in the office and 3 at home to balance collaborative work and focus time.

We meet weekly for sprint updates, hold working meetings to brainstorm solutions, and build out new-to-world capabilities for our customers.

You can expect to:


* Work individually and as a team to refine/improve our web application, analytical models, automated reports, and software architecture


* Identify areas for improvement in our existing solutions


* Roadmap new solutions


* Teach and guide other team members


* Meet with customers to gather their feedback and understand their requirements


* Perform code reviews and participate in merge/pull requests


* Scale and support existing solutions to new customers.

Support may include coordinating solutions with the larger IT organization where problems extend beyond the team's scope


* Travel to sites to understand processes and meet with customers (< 10%).

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Engineering, or STEM Degree


* 5+ years of professional experience in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript


* Experience using Python in an analytical or web developmental role


* Experience analyzing real-world problems with time-series data


* Experience with relational databases


* Experience presenting technical information to a diverse audience (i.e.

commercial business partners, operations personnel, and technical SME's)


* Experience with Functional Office tools such as Excel (data manipulation/analysis, Word (written communication/documentation), PowerPoint (presentation/written communication), OneNote (organization and collaboration)
