Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our Energy R&D.

This position will base in Shanghai Zhangjiang office.

Energy R&D Secondary CE team is responsible for some big products (compact cubicles) maintenance and design development.

These products will have a lot of projects in the next years, and needs to reinforce the designer team.

This position will report to the Secondary CE Team Leader; be responsible for the creation and maintenance of mechanical designs within the R&D team.

The full scope of the responsibility includes all mechanical engineering activities needed to sustain and support development.



* Find alternative solutions in accordance with the whole project objectives: Marketing, industrial and quality


* Be in charge of giving a detailed definition of the product.


* Ensure to provide the right quality level of technical deliverables at each project development phase


* Design totally or in part the medium voltage product's mechanical assembly


* Keep improving the quality of Schneider medium voltage product


* Assist the production unit when mass production starts


* Understand project management, provide basic support


* Provide support to Operations for legacy products


* Ensure products comply with relevant safety & environmental impact legislation

Qualifications

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following selection criteria:


* Highly organized, with proven ability in the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, working within strict time constraints.

Would be expected to take a pro-active approach to identify project risk and deliver high quality products


* Good at Pro-E, preferred if familiar with digital simulation tools:


* Good command of both oral and written English


* Autonomy, ability to take initiative


* Very organized, rigorous, and good team spirit

Preferred academic qualifications and background


* Bachelor or above degree majored in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering


* 3 years Experience/Knowledge about medium voltage products, such as MV circuit-breaker, switchgear, equipment & system

Solid working knowledge of product design, development and industrialization processes
