The Riverside County Information Technology Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Systems Administrator III to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available multi-cloud environments, specifically across AWS and Azure platforms.

This role will involve strategic planning, architectural design, security, cost optimization, and ensuring that cloud infrastructure meets both current and future business needs.

As a key technical leader, the IT Systems Administrator III will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide governance for cloud operations, and ensure that cloud systems operate efficiently while remaining secure and compliant.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and governance best practices, with a strong background in AWS and Azure environments.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge:


* Cloud Automation and Orchestration: Familiarity with automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.


* Cloud Migration: Experience migrating on-premise workloads to AWS and Azure environments and managing hybrid cloud infrastructures.


* Containerization: Proficiency with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as managing containerized applications in cloud environments.

Skills:


* Project Management: Ability to manage cloud infrastructure projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.


* Cloud Cost Optimization: Advanced skills in identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing cloud resource usage for greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


* Continuous Learning: A demonstrated ability and interest in staying updated on new AWS and Azure features, technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve cloud infrastructure.

Abilities:


* Client-Focused Mindset: Ability to understand and align cloud infrastructure design with the organization's business goals, ensuring solutions meet both technical and business needs.
