Senior System Administrator

Heluna health is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to be the leading provider of program services and fiscal sponsorship for over 280 population health initiatives.  We are seeking a capable, motivated Senior System Administrator to take over all aspects of managing the configuration, maintenance and advancement of our computer systems.

The Senior System Administrator works to ensure that our IT technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently using the latest technology to meet the business needs of the organization

The hourly range for the position is $47.47 to $52.75 per hour commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

System Administration and Maintenance


* Implement security policies. 


* Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to users groups.


* Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network.


* Troubleshoot problems reported by staff.


* Monitor network communication.


* Verify that peripherals are working properly.


* Monitor system performance and maintain system efficiency.


* Planning for and responding to service outages and other problems.


* Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.

Manage Upgrade and System Advancement


* Evaluate, test and implement new peripherals and software 


* Create system documentation and track issue resolution


* Analyze and isolate issues.


* Evaluate and make adjustment in system's performance as necessary.


* Manage disaster recovery and data retention compliance.


* Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.


* Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.


* Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.

Servers / Data Center


* Support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems. 


* Ensure network connectivity throughout the company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.


* Installing and configuring server software, hardware, security updates and patches.


* Maintain network and system security, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems.


* Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, malware protection software and other processes.


* Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.


* Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.


* Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
