Senior Hydrogeologist

Where would you step in? 
As a valuable member of our One Water team, you will serve as the groundwater technical lead, supporting clients throughout our northeast presence.

You may sit in any one of our 17 offices.

We offer a hybrid work environment and flexible Fridays in the summer.

Our One Water Team and Projects
Nearly 160 professional engineers strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients.

We provide planning, design, and construction phase services for the construction of new, or improvements to existing, conveyance systems, treatment plants, pump stations, and other water infrastructure.

We assist our clients with capital improvement plans, hydraulic modeling services, and implementing asset management programs while also undertaking study projects including Long Term CSO Control Plans, Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans, Integrated Water Resource Management Plans, and Sewer System Evaluation Studies.  

What will you be doing?
As Tighe & Bond’s technical lead you will provide hydrogeologic services, train and mentor staff, develop technical standards, perform quality control reviews, and provide strategic support in business planning including marketing plans, staff hiring, and retention.

You will work across Tighe & Bond’s service area including feasibility assessments and siting of bedrock and stratified drift wells, groundwater withdrawal permitting, and evaluation and design of groundwater recharge systems.

You will also work on design and oversight of public water supply well construction and rehabilitation as well as pump tests for determining well yield and aquifer characteristics.

You will also be responsible for the modeling of groundwater hydrology including contaminant source assessment and transport, mounding analyses, and delineation of recharge areas.

What does a Senior Hydrogeologist need?   
Substantial years of experience designing, permitting, and evaluating groundwater systems for drinking water supply and wastewater recharge.

Experience in the northeast area and with local and State regulators and regulations is preferred.

 You should be a licensed Professional Geologist and have at least a B.S.

degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline.

An MS is preferred.
