Georgia-Pacific Continuous Manufacturing Group (CMG) has an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Equipment (Mechanical Integrity) Specialist to collaborate and support facility teams in the management of the Georgia-Pacific (GP) fixed equipment/mechanical integrity program.
This role will report to the corporate Fixed Equipment team leader for GP and works closely with each of the CMG facilities fixed equipment teams.
The Fixed Equipment (MI)Specialist will be responsible for setting standards/expectations for fixed equipment inspections and supporting the workflow processes needed to execute the program.
Ensure all CMG facilities comply with all company requirements and recommendations; regulatory requirements; and relevant codes, standards, guidelines and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) from industrial and professional organizations.
What You Will Do
• Advances the Market Based Management (MBM) culture of the team through the application of MBM principles and mental models in interactions with team members.
• Work and support sites across the CMG organization to build, implement, and manage a sustainable fixed equipment program.
• Provide technical recommendations, guidance, and SME support regarding fixed equipment mechanical integrity elements
• Improve standards and process for document management of inspections and execution of work related to the fixed equipment program.
• Utilize best practices and standards that needs to be implemented across the organization to standardize our processes and execution of fixed equipment program and work with sites to execute on that plan.
• Steward of tools, enablers, associate data and information associated with fixed equipment inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance.
• Seek out and leverage technology that can be used to improve the fixed equipment program and work with teams to integrate that into data management systems.
• Collaborate/partner and work with other capabilities groups aligning with safety, environmental, and business vision
• Coach, teach individuals regarding fixed equipment/mechanical integrity reliability
* Assist the facilities in identifying and applying the correct Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP).
* Participate in the design and construction of new fixed equipment to ensure maintainability, reliability, and safe operation including implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for process systems production and uptime improvements.
* Participate and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) efforts for fixed equipment to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actions.
