Compensation Analyst

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Compensation Analyst has the responsibility for supporting all aspects of the design, administration, and compliance of the organization’s compensation programs including market analyses, salary surveys, and variable incentive plans.

Job Responsibilities:


* Assist in the design and development of competitive compensation structures, including incentive and other bonus plans, that align with the organization’s compensation philosophy and goals


* Using salary analyses tools and related surveys as appropriate, conduct market research and benchmark compensation to ensure competitive positioning


* Analyze compensation data to make recommendations on salary adjustments and other pay practices


* Support the implementation of compensation programs including salary reviews, merit increase processes, grid adjustments, and annual performance evaluation process


* Develop and update policies, procedures and documentation for compensation-related programs


* Collaborate with HR to manage compensation-related employee communications to provide clarity and understanding


* Ensure all compensation practices are compliant with relevant local, state and federal regulations


* Conduct regular audits of pay practices to identify and resolve potential issues


* Plan, implement, and deliver various educational tools and meetings with leaders on compensation plans as needed


* Responsible for maintaining job families, job codes, and other compensation-related data in HRIS of record


* Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and Recruitment to ensure employee data integrity and accuracy in all related systems


* Stay current with industry and professional trends, labor laws, and regulatory changes through reading, webinars, on-line education and other means

Job Qualifications: 


* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred


* SHRM-CP, PHR, or CCP professional designations a plus


* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Compensation Administration


* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required to interact with internal and external contacts to exchange or obtain information


* A deep understanding of market trends and expertise in developing competitive pay structures that attract, retain, and motivate top talent


* Knowledge of compensation and pay practices including a demonstrated understanding of all rules, regulations, policies, procedures and record-keeping to ensure compliance with federal, state and corporate requirements


* Advanced proficiency in Excel required


* Working knowledge of HR Information Systems       


* Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, collect, and compile data with accuracy and precision; experience with compensation analytics tools preferred
