(Intertek-PSI), is actively seeking a Geotechnical Drilling Supervisor to join our Building and Construction team in Waukesha, WI.

What you'll do:


* Manage and maintain a fleet of multiple drill rigs (i.e.

Simco, CME, Diedrich, and Geoprobe rigs of various models and years in service)


* Receive fieldwork scheduling assignments and work collaboratively with project team members to efficiently complete fieldwork tasks


* Review Field Scopes of Work with Project Leaders to clearly define field objectives


* Maintain State and Federal DOT records for drill rigs, support vehicles and personnel


* Schedule & direct and dispatch field resources (people and equipment) to accomplish project activities including drilling supplies, instrumentation supplies, coordination of water sources and scheduled routine drilling equipment and safety device replacements.


* Coordinate, Schedule, and Arrange the calibration of field drill rig equipment


* Coordinate access permissions with property owners and/or on-site personnel


* Perform site visits for accessibility evaluation, borehole locating, and documenting existing site conditions


* Request, coordinate, and maintain public and/or private utility clearance


* Establish and maintain Client relationships, and develop new project opportunities


* Coordinate with clients to maintain utilization of field assets (people and equipment)


* Monitor project schedules and fieldwork progress


* Attend project meetings


* Communicate project field status updates amongst team members


* Train field staff including drillers and driller assistants in current and new drilling techniques, sampling techniques, instrumentation installations, calibration, and safety practices.


* Perform field safety audits/training


* Perform field equipment safety and operational capacity audits/inspections


* Responsible for maintenance of fleet vehicles, drill rigs, and standalone core machines


* Assist in the performance of geotechnical drilling and sampling operations


* Become fluent and enforcement of company safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work


* Trains field staff with mud rotarty and rock coring
