Executive Assistant I (Spanish-Bilingual)
ABOUT THE POSITION
The County of Riverside's Transportation department has an opportunity for an Executive Assistant I to support the Transportation Planning Division in Riverside.
The Executive Assistant I will report to the Administrative Services Officer and will be responsible for front counter services related to TLMA business licensing.
This position will assist customers with permit applications, respond to inquiries, direct questions and customers to other County and local government agencies, and perform various clerical duties associated with front counter operations.
This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and experience in a fast-paced, front-counter environment.
Additionally, this position will convert forms, applications, and other documents from English to Spanish, conduct lot and address searches in Riverside County's PLUS system, and answer multi-line telephone calls.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, with experience providing customer service at a front counter within a local government agency, preferably in a building, construction, or permitting environment.
They should also demonstrate proficiency in utilizing multiple systems to process various requests and interact positively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with the PLUS system and proficiency in document proofing and formatting in Word and Adobe Acrobat are highly preferred!
This position requires Spanish bilingual skills and Spanish level testing

The Transportation Department is responsible for planning, designing, funding, building, operating and maintaining all roads, bridges, and transportation facilities within the unincorporated County territory.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Greet and assist customers at the front counter, providing guidance on permit application requirements and procedures.
Assist the public by referring them to sources of information, giving out standard forms, explaining how to complete them, and answering requests for factual information by consulting various available sources.
Work collaboratively with other departments and staff to facilitate efficient permit processing.
Design or revise office forms; set up and maintain complex filing systems.
Schedule appointments, coordinate time, place, and participant arrangements for meetings.
Sort, screen, and route incoming mail.
Provide general information and respond to inquiries regarding permit status, building codes, and other related topics via office and telephone
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver's License may be required.
Education:Graduation from high school or attainment of a satisfactory score on a G.E.D.
test may be required.
