Byrd Correctional Facility in Murietta.
The incumbent under general supervision, reviews court documents, applies penal codes, and bail table rules and regulations; performs time computations to determine inmates' sentence and proper release date; enters, updates, and accesses booking charges and other crime statistics into/from computerized law enforcement tracking systems; performs other related specialized clerical duties in support of the Corrections Bureau; and performs other related duties as required.
The Sheriff's Corrections Assistant II is the advanced journey level class in the Sheriff's Corrections Assistant series, serves in a lead capacity, and typically reports to a Supervising Sheriff's Corrections Assistant or a correctional or sworn sergeant.
This class is distinguished from the Supervising Sheriff's Corrections Assistant in that the latter is the first line supervisory level in the class series.
