Delivery Driver - Retail

About the role Ascends delivery drivers bring cannabis orders from our licensed New Jersey stores directly to customers doors.

Youre the one person a delivery customer meets in person, so this role comes down to two things: driving safely and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Drivers work out of a store location, follow assigned delivery routes using our routing app, and are supported by a dedicated dispatch team.

Depending on the store, this is either a dedicated full-time driving role or a combined driver/store associate role scheduled around delivery demand.

What youll do Follow assigned delivery routes and complete orders within the promised time windowPick, pack, and verify orders against the manifest before leaving the storeCheck valid government-issued ID and confirm legal age on every deliveryKeep orders secured in the vehicle safe and follow cash-handling proceduresComplete a vehicle walk-around before each shift and report any damage or issuesGreet customers in uniform, handle every delivery with courtesy and discretion, and offer accessories and reorder informationReport delays, order problems, accidents, or safety concerns to dispatch right awayComplete end-of-day returns and reconciliationHelp onboard new drivers and support new delivery locations when needed Safety first Nothing we deliver is worth an accident.

Drivers are expected to drive defensively and legally, wear a seat belt, obey speed limits, and never use a handheld phone while driving.

Company vehicles are equipped with telematics, and driving coaching is part of the job.

If a delivery situation ever feels unsafe, you leave and contact dispatch no exceptions.
