Facility Technician I

Clean Harbors Deer Park Incinerator is seeking a Facility Technician I - General Laborer to support grounds maintenance, facility upkeep, and daily operations at our incineration facility.

This is a hands-on, physically active position with primary responsibilities that include mowing, weed eating, forklift operation, and general facility maintenance.

Additional duties include painting, repacking drums, assembling furniture, and assisting with contractor parking access.

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious individual with professional work experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or facility maintenance, along with practical experience operating outdoor maintenance equipment and forklifts.

Candidates should have experience performing these duties in a professional work environment.

Personal residential lawn care alone does not satisfy the preferred professional groundskeeping experience.

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Work schedule and hourly pay are governed by the union contract.

Work Schedule (per CBA)


* Four consecutive 12-hour day shifts (5:30 AM - 5:30 PM)


* Four days off (on-call)


* Four consecutive 12-hour day shifts (5:30 AM - 5:30 PM)


* Four days off (off-call)


* Rotating schedule continues

Hourly Wage (per CBA): $21.30/HR
