Staff Accountant

Summary/Objective The Staff Accountant will support Store Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, and Month-End Close.

Responsibilities Assist with the month-end close process and general accounting (journal entries, analysis, etc.).Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts.Maintain the Fixed Asset Database by entering monthly asset additions, calculating depreciation, preparing journal entries, and reconciling to the general ledger.Assist in the credit card reconciliation process.Complete weekly money order reconciliation.Prepare monthly store bank reconciliations.Perform inventory negative and variance analysis and other store accounting variance analysis.Serve as backup for other Staff Accountants; complete other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education and Experience Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Accounting is preferred or equivalent experience.Excellent math skills, proficiency in excel, and a thorough understanding of the accounting cycle are required.
