Industrial Engineer I

Job Summary The Industrial Engineer I is responsible for ongoing process improvement initiatives that deliver excellence across entire value chain.This role utilizes enterprise standards to lead process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and process documentation related to continuous improvement directives.

Major Responsibilities: Coordinates the successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations.Contributes tofacility transformation, technologytransferand ongoing maintenance of mixed model lines or value streams.Ensures ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies,proceduresand process documentation.Implementsdemand driven principals and strategies thatsupportoperational excellence andlong-rangeplans.(Flexibility, Speed & Responsiveness)Ensuresproduct, material and information streams flow and are synchronized to produce maximum efficiency and lowest cost of operation.Contributes tocreation ofinnovative ideas to improve business results.Deploysstandard Generac tools, methodologies, standards,practicesand processes.Implementsobjectives including continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillment needs.Works closely with shop floor personnelto promote ongoing Continuous Improvement of manufacturing methods,systemsand controls.Responsible for area layouts, process definition, and equipment justification, selection, and implementation.

Education: Bachelors degree in engineering or industrial technology Work Experience: 1-3 years related experience in the Engineering function within a similar working environment Knowledge / Skills / Abilities ProficiencyinCAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorksand/orProE)Excellent organizational,writtenand oral communication skillsKnowledgeof lean principles andprocessimprovementsDiverse skills and experience leading projectsExperience collaboratingcross-functionallyto achieve desired resultsExperienceoperatingin high mix, low volume and high volume,low mix production environmentsDemonstrated skills in problem solvingandconflict resolutionProven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment
