Fitter / Fabricator Join the Extreme Steel team! Extreme Steel, Inc.

is a growing AISC-certified structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabricator and erector serving the DC, Virginia, and Maryland areas.

We are looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our team as Fitter / Fabricators.

What You'll Do Measure, lay out, align, and fit fabricated metal components according to blueprints and shop drawings.Prepare steel for welding using grinders and other fabrication tools.Weld components according to blueprints and project specifications.Finish metal work by removing slag, weld spatter, and excess weld material.Perform general cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and organized work environment.Assist with general fabrication and production operations as needed.Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements Minimum 1 year of structural steel fitting or fabrication experience (Required).Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings (Required).Experience using grinders and other fabrication tools.Welding experience preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
