Business Office Manager in Training – Columbia Healthcare

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in healthcare administration?
Columbia Healthcare is seeking a Business Office Manager in Training to learn alongside an experienced Business Office Manager and gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of a senior care community.
This is a learning and development position designed for someone who has a foundation in office, administrative, financial, healthcare, or customer service work and is ready to grow their skills.
Throughout the training program, you will gain experience in areas such as:
* Accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Payroll and employee-related administrative processes
* Resident billing and account questions
* Medicare and Medicaid-related business office processes
* Resident trust accounts
* Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
* Communicating with residents, families, team members, and outside partners
* Supporting the overall organization and daily operations of the business office
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:

* Organized and Detail-Oriented: Comfortable working with records, data entry, documentation, and multiple deadlines.
* Comfortable with Numbers: Able to work accurately with billing, payments, payroll, or other financial information.
* A Strong Communicator: Professional and compassionate when working with residents, families, coworkers, and outside partners.
* Dependable: Able to manage responsibilities, follow through on tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
* Team-Oriented: Willing to collaborate with different departments and ask questions while learning.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or a degree is a plus.
* Previous experience in an office, administrative, accounting, billing, payroll, healthcare, banking, insurance, customer service, or similar role is preferred.
* Previous nursing home or long-term care experience is helpful, but not required.
* Previous exposure to Medicare, Medicaid, billing, or healthcare reimbursement is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
* Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
* A positive attitude and genuine interest in developing a career in healthcare administration.
