Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a Full-Time basis.

The Maintenance Assistant plays an important role in keeping our facility safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained for our residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Position Details


* Position: Maintenance Assistant


* Employment Type: Full-Time


* Location: Mission Valley Post Acute


* Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities


* Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep throughout the facility.


* Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.


* Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor spaces.


* Inspect equipment, fixtures, and facility areas and report maintenance concerns promptly.


* Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.


* Assist with preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.


* Help ensure the building, grounds, and equipment remain safe and properly maintained.


* Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized manner.


* Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.


* Support facility safety, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness requirements.


* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.


* Work closely with the Maintenance Director and facility leadership.


* Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


* Previous maintenance experience preferred.


* Experience in skilled nursing, healthcare, apartment, hotel, commercial, or building maintenance is a plus.


* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.


* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


* Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.


* Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


* Professional communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.


* Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required.


* Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
