Volunteer Manager
VOLUNTEER MANAGER The Volunteer Manager will manage the volunteer program, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals.
This role is responsible for effectively engaging volunteers and maintaining a well-run program.
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing, engaging personality and be skilled at building relationships with potential volunteers.
Key responsibilities include managing the volunteer application process, providing staff training and ongoing support, maintaining consistent communication, and coordinating volunteer engagement efforts.
This role will collaborate closely with departmental directors to ensure volunteers are properly processed and assigned to service areas within the ministry.
RESPONSIBILITIES Manage new volunteer applicationsMaintain consistent communication with applicants throughout the interview processCoordinate with the departmental directors to integrate volunteers effectively into service areas, projects, and initiativesPrepare and coordinate New Staff Volunteer Training, as well as additional training opportunities ensuring all tasks related to training are completedAptitude for training and giving ministry presentationsManage and track required AAAHC training for volunteersRepresent Life Network at ministry fairs, churches, and community events to recruit and engage new volunteersManage, maintain and become an expert in the volunteer management software, and train staff to utilize the software as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date volunteer recordsRespond to all inquiries regarding individual or workgroup volunteer projects at Life NetworkOrganize on-site volunteer community work groups to ensure effective coordination and a positive experience for all participantsArrange and manage Sneak Peek events to introduce potential volunteers to the organizations work and missionPlan and execute the annual volunteer appreciation eventImplement quarterly communications to keep volunteers informed, connected, and engagedAbility to stay calm, patient, and encouraging with volunteers and staff in fast-paced or unpredictable conditions EXPERIENCE A combination of college education and/or professional experience in a related fieldPrevious volunteer management preferredExperience with databases QUALIFICATIONS Strong advocate for the sanctity of life issuesPossesses Christian testimony with evidence of Christian maturity in personal and professional lifeActive commitment to a local churchA passion for the ministry accomplished through Life Network and a heart for reaching the lost of our community/world with the GospelDemonstrates excellence in interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and demonstrates initiativeExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks effectivelyProficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periodsFrequent use of a computer, volunteer software, an...
