Category Buyer / Category Manager - Global ETO, India , Vadodara

Introduction:


* Global ETO business of Schneider Electric has been going through high level of transformation for higher performance and value creation for its end customers producing Medium and low voltage Switchgears and Transformers.


* ETO procurement is one of the strong drivers of the transformations and has been contributing significantly in last few years.


* TBI is one of the large plants under ETO and is a one of important Transformer plant


* ETO India Pacific procurement team is a Global procurement function (GSC) to support the India Pacific plants / business under Global ETO with a total spend of more than 125 ME and the TBI plant is with approx 40 ME spend .

Role:


* Category Buyer / Category Manager:

Spend Management:


* Responsible for supplier selection, supplier development, Management supplier Audits ( SAM)


* Person should be able to handle a spend of @ 10 ME independently in terms of supplier management, spend analytics, Need preparation , Annual Procurement Operation Planning ( APOP)


* Co-ordinate effectively with Regional and global category teams to formulate and execute category initiatives.


* Contract and Risk management in procurement.

Part / Component Development


* Responsible for RFP , Negotiations ,PPAP co-ordination ,Pricing agreement and co-ordinate LTC , QTC co-ordination with respective functions .


* Cost reduction / Productivity:


* Responsible to generate annual cost reductions through various levers like - Nego preparation, Should cost Analysis & co-ordination , Benchmarking , Year on Year productivity Negotiations , Change of Supplier , QVE co-ordination , localisation

Supplier Partnership and Innovation:


* To develop and collaborate with suppliers for long term relationship and bringing value to business through innovation .

Supply Securitization:


* Collaborate effectively with plant team to support the plant SC and ensure smooth flow of material from suppliers.


* Change of supplier / Alternate sourcing to secure supplies and avoid single source / mono-source situation.

Collaboration with cross functions:


* Work closely with internal stake holders like Quality, R&D , Engineering teams to generate higher level productivity , quality and customer satisfaction .

Procurement Digitisation :


* Should be able to learn & use Digitisation effectively in procurement for reducing the NVAs .

Sustainability in procurement :


* Work closely with internal ( cross functional) and external ( suppliers) stake holders to support the mission of SE towards sustainability for planet and human .

Required competencies:


* Strong in communication, data analysis


* Executive presentation skills with ability to convince stake holders.


* Exposure to project management, team collaboration is an added advantage.
