Shipping Supervisor - Gypsum (Cumberland City)

Georgia-Pacific in Cumberland City, TN is currently recruiting for a Shipping Supervisor.

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for partnering with the Shipping Manager to lead the team to work safely, consistent with PBM® management philosophy and framework.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, and effective communication to the Shipping department to ensure that the department is meeting the objectives that drive improvement in all associated work processes affecting EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, as well as planning, directing and guiding the business goals, plans, and processes for the Shipping department.

What You Will Do:

• Manage warehouse teams for both truck and rail areas

• Provide training to shipping operators and coordinate the mentor program to ensure standards are understood and followed.

• Maintain documentation for attendance, productivity, behavior, and safety.

• Manage personnel requirements, including assisting in hiring new candidates.

• Optimize Automated Guiding Vehicles to maximize asset efficiency

• Provide coaching, feedback, and positive reinforcement on safety, quality of work, productivity and attitude.

• This will be a rotating role, working nights Sunday-Thursday for two weeks, then days Monday-Friday for two weeks.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

• A minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience.

• Experience providing leadership, supervision, accountability, and training, preferably in a warehouse environment.

• Experience using a computerized inventory system and handheld computers, as well as a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet programs.

• Experience with forklifts or similar equipment is required.
