Service Technician, Frac
SUMMARY: The Field Service Tech II, Frac performs chemical treatment of oil wells and is the primary field representative to assist and answer customer questions or concerns.
JOB DUTIES: Manage chemical inventory and transfer to and from locationSet up and rig down frac equipmentCalibrate pumps and flowmeters to ensure accurate chemical injection and reportingManage pumps, chemical lines, totes, rates and pressuresCommunicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough mannerInteract with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issuesMonitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programsCollect and record data and on occasion present to company man or well site supervisorSubmit paperwork upon completion of fracUnderstand and perform inventory transfers (in/out)Knowledge of valve and well pressures while on oilfield locationsDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization in yard and field operationsDemonstrates advanced competency in chemical injection and site leadership; mentors Service Tech I personnel.Maintain company property in good order (equipment, tools, computer, phones, trucks, etc.)Other duties as may be assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION High school diploma or GED QUALIFICATIONS Basic mathematical skillsPossess and maintain a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with Company policy.
EXPERIENCE No experience required PREFERRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION No education preference QUALIFICATIONS Frac equipment used in oil and gas operationUnderstanding of fundamental chemical properties (oil/water solubility)Experience in, and competent knowledge of, chemical treatment processUnderstanding of well and valve pressures EXPERIENCE Oil and gas frac experience PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
