Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our team.

In this role, you will play a key part in preparing nutritious, appealing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities


* Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements


* Ensure food is cooked, held, and stored at proper temperatures


* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas


* Follow portion control standards and food safety guidelines


* Collaborate with dietary aides and nursing staff to accommodate special diets


* Assist with inventory management and ordering of food supplies

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent


* Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living kitchen preferred


* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification is a plus)


* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a nursing facility


* Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines


* Strong teamwork and communication skills


* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
