Admissions Coordinator (Full-Time)
Riverwalk Post Acute
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour, DOE
Riverwalk Post Acute is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Admissions Coordinator to join our team.
This role is essential in creating a positive first impression for residents, families, referral partners, and healthcare professionals while ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the admissions process from referral through admission
* Review referral information for accuracy and completeness
* Communicate with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral sources to facilitate admissions
* Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary documentation
* Collaborate with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate resident placements
* Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families
* Maintain accurate admission records and census information
* Follow up on pending referrals and inquiries
* Assist with marketing and community outreach efforts as assigned
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility admission requirements
Qualifications
* Previous admissions, healthcare intake, business development, or skilled nursing experience preferred
* Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, and insurance verification processes preferred
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Ability to work effectively with residents, families, hospital partners, and facility staff
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
* High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in healthcare administration or related field is a plus
