Georgia-Pacific is now hiring for a Material Forklift Operator for our Ontario, CA facility!

Salary:

$22.50 per hour

Shift:

1 st Shift (Monday - Friday) 7:00am to 3:30pm

2 nd Shift (Monday - Friday) 10:30am - 7:00pm

What You Will Do



* Adhere to company safety policies and encourage other associates to do so as well


* Safely driving and operating a forklift and/or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products and materials.


* Utilize a Radio Frequency (RF) scanner.


* Work cooperatively and productively with the team to complete assigned tasks


* Properly and accurately completing all required shipping documentation both manually and with the use of a computer software system.


* Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.


* Obtain and maintain company forklift certification.


* Understand basic computer skills


* Work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy environment


* Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment


* Work any shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* One (1) year of experience driving and operating a forklift within an industrial or warehousing environment

Physical Requirements:

Work in a non-climate-controlled mill, with dust, noise and temperatures that can be higher in the summer and lower in the winter

Perform tasks such as lifting (50lbs), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day
