McClure Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech Therapist (ST) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN (Per Diem) basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who is passionate about helping patients improve their communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

Position Summary

As a Speech Therapist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.

You'll play a key role in developing individualized treatment plans that promote recovery, maximize independence, and enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities


* Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing function


* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans


* Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication and swallowing abilities


* Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy team members, and families to coordinate care


* Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely


* Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on therapy goals and home exercise programs


* Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and facility documentation standards


* Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings as needed

Qualifications


* Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of California


* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows may be considered


* Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)


* Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred


* Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills


* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the rehabilitation team
