We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Accountant for our Corporate Office.
United Bank is searching for driven individuals responsible for general accounting entries, reconciliations, and document retention, as well as payroll functions.
The Accountant will have the important role of assisting in the administration of accounting for the investment portfolio, fixed assets and prepaids. This position is also responsible for insurance accounting and various general accounting and reconciliations.
This role will also assist with the daily administration of funds position including Federal funds sold and/or purchased.
In addition, this position will assist in the following tasks; month end/close, preparation of financial statements, administration of the general ledger, completion of bank and corporate regulatory reporting and accounts payable.
The accountant will also process payroll and complete various payroll reporting.
Responsible for areas of compliance as it relates to this position.
Undertakes special projects relating to departmental services as assigned.
This position requires:
* Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance;
* Six months to one year related experience;
* Or equivalent combination of education and experience;
* Strong verbal and written communication;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
* Strong attention to detail and organization skills;
* Regular standing and walking;
* Utilizing hands & arms;
* Ability to talk & hear.
