* High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.


* Minimum of 1 year experience in engineering or manufacturing environment


* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:



* 2 years experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment


* Quality minded with exceptional attention to detail


* Manual dexterity with ability to handle fragile components a must


* Strong work ethic, driven to individual and team success


* Self-starter with a sense of accountability to meeting daily departmental needs, requiring little supervision.


* Flexibility and open-mindedness, in order to work in a non-standard/specialty work environment


* Able to work in a team environment


* Injection molding experience


* Problem solving abilities


* Comfortable using various basic windows based software, such as excel and word.

Strong math/mechanical aptitudeThis DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN position will be located either in Howmet Research Center or in the Research Center satellite development area located within the Whitehall Core Facility, working on the New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

Primary responsibilities will include:



* Operating ceramic core presses and injection molding machines


* Processing development ceramic cores as required to meet customer requirements, which includes running equipment and hand finishing
