Human Resources Operations & Benefits Specialist

How You Will Make an Impact
The HR Operations & Benefits Specialist manages the daily transactional and technical aspects of human resources, focusing on the employee lifecycle from onboarding support to offboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS data integrity.

They ensure compliance with labor laws, improve process efficiency, and act as a key point of contact for employee inquiries.

This position works closely with the Talent Acquisition Team and HR Operations Team to support all aspects of Human Resources.

The Nuts and Bolts
• Administers the employee onboarding and orientation process, including but not limited to, pre-employment qualifications/testing; providing and processing of new hire paperwork; and enrollment in selected benefit programs
• Records and track special payment agreements including, but not limited to, sign-on bonuses, promotion bonuses, referral bonuses, and sales bridge agreements
• Works with the parent company and vendors to support the administration of benefit programs - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and AD&D, including but not limited to, Open Enrollment, processing qualifying event paperwork; monitoring and tracking employee payments; responding to employee inquiries; COBRA notifications; and preparation of weekly/monthly billings and invoices; assists with resolution of issues with benefit carriers when necessary
• Works with the parent company and vendors to support the administration of the 401K plan, including contributions and loan participant activity, entering contribution changes, and assisting in the review and preparation of compliance data for annual audit
• Leverages the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to gather data, conduct research, provide analysis, and generate reports
• Administers pay increases, promotions, terminations, status changes, attendance and vacation balances, etc., ensuring accurate data entry; supports the annual merit increase process
• Manages and administers FMLA / Leave program, including serving as the point of contact for management, EHS, vendors, and team members
• Manages and oversees administration of unemployment insurance
• Coordinate employee communications and responds to employee inquiries

Required Credentials
Education:
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelors or Associates Degree in related field preferred

Experience:
• Five years of experience working with HRIS systems and benefits plans - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, 401k, etc.
