Deputy Manager- Estimation

What is the role?

An exciting and challenging role for BMS Design estimator to join our team.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to


* Ability to interpret and organize technical design information from inputs like Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing drawings, Project Specifications, Standards, Sales Take-off etc.


* Raise RFIs for missing information and follow through.


* Command on communication to interact independently with global customers, understand requirements and translate them to deliverables


* Ability to find opportunities to standardize and automate the estimation workflow.


* Minimum 3-13 years of experience as a BMS estimation/Design Engineer


* Production of BMS estimates comprising of I/O schedule, plant schematics, proposal, system network architecture, Bill of material, Equipment list, Instrument list, panel general arrangement drawing/ panels list, Technical compliance to specifications, list of deviations to high degree of accuracy & quality within agreed deadlines


* Familiarity with global online estimation tools & standard progress reporting tools and processes will be an added advantage


* Should be familiar with 3rd party products used in BMS industry like sensors, actuators, I?O modules etc.


* Should have hands on experience working on small, medium and large estimation jobs.


* Knowledge of building management system protocols like BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, OPC etc.

and experience on deploying this knowledge in technical solutions


* Ability to plan and implement work utilizing estimation standards and technology principles and established company processes and procedures


* Exposure to HVAC domain systems and applications like Air Handling Units, Chiller/Boiler Systems, Variable Air Volume Boxes etc.

and ability to engineer an engineering solution around them


* Knowledge of the theoretical / practical aspects of building automation regulations and codes relating to air conditioning and management of air, water plants etc.

across different geographies


* Knowledge and use of electrical design / drawing software on electronic format (AutoCAD / MS Visio / PDF)


* Work experience in global projects and/or in global engineering centers will be considered as an advantage


* Deliver estimates with a high level of accuracy within the agreed timelines.
