Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Serves as the technical authority for TSA enterprise platforms supporting 24x7x365 mission-critical operations, overseeing and actively engineering platform capabilities across cloud, infrastructure, and hybrid environments to ensure continuous availability, resilience, and operational stability.
- Designs, builds, configures, and maintains cloud and infrastructure platforms, including AWS and Azure environments, virtual compute, operating systems, storage platforms, and shared services that host TSA applications and data.
- Leads platform provisioning and environment management for production, test, development, and sandbox environments, ensuring consistency, scalability, performance, and compliance with TSA and DHS operational requirements.
- Oversees and engineers deployment pipeline platforms, including CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, version control, artifact management, and controlled release mechanisms to support secure and repeatable system deployments.
- Provides technical oversight and hands-on support for platform monitoring, logging, alerting, and capacity management solutions, ensuring real-time visibility into system health, performance, and availability.
- Acts as a senior technical escalation point for platform incidents, leading root cause analysis, coordinating cross-team troubleshooting, and driving restoration of service for high-impact platform failures.
- Ensures platform services integrate with identity, access, security, patching, change, and disaster recovery processes, embedding platform controls into enterprise operations and cybersecurity workflows.
- Maintains platform architecture documentation, configuration baselines, and operational procedures, ensuring audit readiness, lifecycle traceability, and effective knowledge transfer to TSA and contractor staff.
Mentors and guides platform engineers while remaining directly engaged in engineering tasks, balancing hands-on technical execution with oversight of platform stability, risk, and long-term sustainability.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

- Designs and implements enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing.
- Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will be securely integrated with current applications.
- Has a deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
- Reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
- Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
- May supervise other Cloud Architects.
- BA/BS required.
- 8+ years of required work-related experience.
- Hybrid with travel to various locations such as Springfield VA and Stennis MS.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- ITSM Experience and/or Certifications.
